Balanced drive typically doubles voltage swing and can quadruple available power, which matters for 250-ohm or 600-ohm studio pairs and for low-sensitivity planars that want current. On a 32-ohm gaming headset the single-ended 3.5mm jack already has more headroom than you will use, and most gaming headsets ship with a 3.5mm plug anyway. Buying a balanced cable to feed an efficient headset is spending money for a specification, not for sound.
